The Ember Rite
Light one end of the stick and allow it to burn briefly. Gently extinguish the flame until only fragrant smoke remains.
Move through your space slowly, guiding the smoke toward corners, entrances, windows, and the area where your practice will take place. As you move, name what is leaving and what you are calling forward.
When the ritual is complete, place the stick in a heat-safe vessel and ensure it is fully extinguished.
